A straightforward, but versatile utility module, the Mix6 can function as either a pair of three-channel mixers or a single six-channel mixer. The output labeled “top” is a mix of the three top channels, while the output labeled “btm” is a mix of the three bottom channels. With nothing patched into the “top” output, “btm” outputs a mix of all 6 channels. Channels 1 and 4 are attenuverters and have 1 Volt normalled to their inputs. Channels 2, 3, 5 and 6 are standard attenuators.
This mixer uses very low tolerance resistors (0.1%). This provides great gain accuracy and allows the module to modify pitch sequences. Channels 1 and 4 can be used to transpose sequences an octave up or an octave down, while the other inputs can be used to apply pitch modulation or mix in other pitch sequences to create new composite sequences. For accurate pitch tracking, ensure that the attenuator corresponding to the channel with the pitch CV is fully clockwise. manuals
